R. 10083](/us/bill/70/hr/10083).][[Public No. 198](/us/pl/70/198).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Narcotic Acts.Advances of funds for enforcing, by special disbursing agents.Vol. 38, p. 785, Vol. 41, p. 300. That the Commissioner of Prohibition, with the approval of the Secretary of the Treasury, is authorized to direct the advance of funds by special disbursing agents in connection with the enforcement of the Act entitled “An Act to provide for the registration of, with collectors of internal revenue, and to impose a special tax upon, all persons who produce, import, manufacture, compound, deal in, dispense, sell, distribute, or give away opium or cocoa leaves, their salts, derivatives, or preparations, and for other purposes,” approved December Vol. 40, p. 1130. 17, 1914, as amended by the Revenue Act of 1918, and the Act entitled “An Act to amend an Act entitled ‘An Act to prohibit the importation and use of opium for other than medicinal purposes,’ 375 approved February 9, 1909,” as amended by the Act of May 26, Vol. 42, p. 596. 1922, known as “The Narcotic Drugs Import and Export Act.“ Prohibition against advances waived. S., sec. 3648, p. 718](/us/rs/s3648). Such advances in connection with the enforcement of the Acts hereinabove stated relating to narcotic drugs may be made, notwithstanding the provisions of section 3648 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (section 529, title 31, United States Code), from the [U. S. Code, p. 1009.](/us/usc/t31/s529/1009) appropriations available for the enforcement of such Acts and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto. Approved, March 28, 1928.
