Chap. LVI.— An Act *for the relief of the legal representatives of Colonel William Piatt.* July 9, 1842. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to the legal representatives of Colonel WilliamPayment to him in full for services as quartermaster-general. Piatt, late quartermaster-general of the United States army, the sum of fifteen hundred and fifteen dollars and twenty-eight and a half cents, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full of the balance due him for his services as quartermaster-general, from the first day of May to the twentieth day of December, eighteen hundred and fifteen, and the amount paid by him for the hire of a clerk for the same period.
