(/us/pvtl/75/779)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryGlenn R. Martin.Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Glenn K. Martin, Hagerstown, Maryland, the sum of $2,500, in full settlement of all claims against the United States on account of personal injuries sustained by him when the automobile which he was driving was struck, on November 18, 1936, in Hagerstown, Maryland, by an automobile owned by the Treasury Department and operated *Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.by an investigator of the Alcohol Tax Unit: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary Penalty for violation.notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, June 25, 1938. Dollison.Provisions of Employees’ Compensation Act extended to. That the limitations of time in sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and [39 Stat. 746, 747](/us/stat/39/746/747).[5 U. S. C. §§ 765–770](/us/usc/t5/s765–770).for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916. as amended, are hereby waived in favor of John B.
Dollison, of Columbus, Ohio, and the Employees’ Compensation Commission is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider, under the remaining provisions of said Act, his claim for compensation on account of impairment of his sight allegedly due to conditions of his employment by the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation at its district office, Columbus, Ohio, Time limitation, filing of claim.*Proviso*.No prior benefits.between October 1, 1933, and July 21, 1935, if same is filed within six months after the approval of this Act: *Provided*, That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act.
