(/us/bill/75/pvtl/732)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Stevedores, Army transport docks.Additional pay to certain, authorized. That, subject to the provisions of section 2 of this Act, the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not. otherwise appropriated, to each of the persons named in the statement on file in the Office of the Quartermaster General, War Department, as being employed as stevedores on the United States52 Stat. 1403 Army transport docks at the San Francisco, California, port of embarkation, between July 31, 1934, and November 24, 1934, both inclusive, the sum appearing opposite the name of each such person in the column designated “Total Cash”.
In each case such sum represents the amount of additional pay equal to that provided by the terms of an award made by the National Longshoremen’s Board. Such award provided for a retroactive increase of pay from July 31, 1934, but such increase of pay was not received by such persons until after November 24, 1934. Sec. 2. The Secretary of the Treasury shall pay any sum authorizedTime for filing application. to be paid by section 1 of this Act only upon the filing of an application therefor within one year after the date of enactment of this Act by the person duly certified by the Quartermaster General to be entitled to such sum.
Sec. 3. No part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of thisPenalty for violation. Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.

Cls. 270), in favor of the Butler Lumber Company, as follows: A claim for the loss of land, timber, lumber, machinery, and cash through foreclosure in the total sum of $95,641, resulting from the furnishing of piling in the erection of a fueling station on Craney Island, in Norfolk Harbor, Virginia, which station was erected under a contract dated May 21, 1921, between W. S. Rendle and the, United States Shipping Board, representing the United States of America, notwithstanding the said judgment of the Court of Claims, laches, or the statute of limitations.
Suit in the Court of Claims may be brought by the receivers of the Butler Lumber Company, Incorporated, appointed by the Law and Equity Court of Richmond City, Virginia. Approved, June 25, 1938.
