(/us/pl/74/578).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section 981Canal Zone Code, amendments.Vol. 48, p. 1122. of title 4, Canal Zone Code, approved June 19, 1934 (48 Stat. 1122), is amended to read as follows: " “Sec. 981. It shall be lawful for the clerk of the districtDistrict court.Fees allowed. court, referees, and commissioners appointed by the district court, the marshal, magistrates, constables, and other officers and persons hereinafter mentioned, together with their assistants and deputies, to demand and receive the hereinafter-mentioned fees and no more.
All fees collected by officers drawing a salary or compensation from the Government, other than those collected by the clerk of the district court and the marshal, shall be paid over to the collector of the Panama Canal. The clerk of the district court and the marshalReceipt and deposit, etc., of public moneys. shall receive, deposit, and account for all public moneys collected by them in accordance with the laws, rules, and regulations governing the receipt and disposition of moneys by clerks of United States district courts and United States marshals, respectively, in the continental United States exclusive of Alaska.

That section 6 of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, and Acts in amendment thereof (U. S. C., title 5, sec. 756), is amended by the addition of the following paragraph: " Employees’ Compensation Commission.Allowance for attendant for totally disabled employee, authorized.“In addition to the monthly compensation the Employees’ Compensation Commission may pay an injured employee awarded compensation for permanent total disability from injury an additional sum of not more than $50 a month, as the Commission may deem necessary, when the Commission shall find that the service of an attendant is necessary constantly to be used by reason of the employee being totally blind, or having lost both hands or both feet or the use thereof, or is paralyzed and unable to walk, or by reason of other total disability actually rendering him so helpless as to require constant attendance.
