(/us/pvt/74/187).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary Jasper Daleo. Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $98.80 to Jasper Daleo, in full settlement of all claims against the Government of the United States for fishing equipment lost while giving his attention to the rescue of a Navy aviator who had been forced to alight with a parachute in the Pacific Ocean, near La Jolla, California: *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim.
It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating Penalty for violation. the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty or a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.

Copeland. Adjustment of claim. General of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to adjust and settle the claim of Lawrence S. Copeland for loss and damage resulting from his purchase of a Peerless sedan automobile sold to him April 7, 1930, by Federal prohibition authorities, the possession of which automobile he was compelled by subsequent judicial proceedings to relinquish to its alleged owner, and to allow not to exceed $500 in full and final settlement of all claims Appropriation.arising out of the transaction.
There is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $500, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for payment of the claim: *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.
