February 16, 1929.[[H. R. 7166](/us/bill/70/hr/7166).][[Private, No. 373](/us/pvtl/70/373).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Army.Credits in accounts of specified disbursing officers by reason of refunds on surplus war supplies, allowed. That the Comptroller General of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to allow credit in the accounts of the disbursing officers of the Army of the United States named herein in the several amounts indicated, representing payments made by direction of local boards of sales control as authorized refundments to purchasers of surplus war supplies for which credit has been disallowed by the General Accounting Office in the audit of their accounts, to wit:
Captain Francis J. Baker, Finance Department, $59,273.11; Lieutenant Colonel Ward Dabney, Quartermaster Corps, $2,708.04; Captain E. 2261O. Hopkins, Finance Department, $3,981.40; Captain P. G. Hoyt, Finance Department, $2,054.13; Captain M. T. Legg, Finance Department, $17.459.52; Lieutenant Colonel S. B. McIntyre, Finance Department, $3,039.10; Captain E. C. Morton, Finance Department, $629.58; Captain A. J. Maxwell, Finance Department, $601.91; Captain L. L. Simms, Finance Department, $6,246;
Major E. B. Spiller, Finance Department, $274.63; Captain E. W. Wilson, Finance Department, $180: *Provided*, That any amounts otherwise due to said *Proviso.*Income tax refunds.disbursing officers by reason of refunds of income taxes and which amounts have been credited by the Comptroller General of the United States to disallowances in their accounts with the United States be refunded to them.
