## SEC. 563 VOCATIONAL EDUCATION REGULATIONS ###
(a)In General Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning on the date of enactment of this Act, and ending on July 1, 19996 the Department of Education's interpretation of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Act relating to— 6Section 3(e) of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Amendments of 1998 (P.L. 105–332; 112 Stat. 3126) amended this section by striking “the date of enactment of an Act reauthorizing the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act (20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.)” and inserting “July 1, 1999”. The amendment probably should have been to strike “the date of enactment of an Act reauthorizing the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and *Applied Technology* Education Act (20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.)” but was executed to reflect the probable intent of Congress. ####
