Section 41601 of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 ( 34 U.S.C. 12511 ) is amended— in subsection (b)(2)(C)(iii), by inserting direct payments, before and comprehensive ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (4)— by striking
(4)and all that follows through Distribution The Attorney General and inserting the following: The Attorney General ; and by striking subparagraph (B); by redesignating paragraph
(6)as paragraph (7); and by inserting after paragraph
(5)the following: The Attorney General shall provide technical assistance to recipients of grants under this subsection by entering into a cooperative agreement or contract with a national, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization or organizations whose primary focus and expertise is in addressing sexual assault within culturally specific communities. ; and in subsection (f)— in paragraph (1), by striking $40,000,000 to remain available until expended for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018 and inserting $100,000,000 to remain available until expended for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027 ; and in paragraph (2)(B)— by striking 2.5 and inserting 8 ; and by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting of which not less than 20 percent shall be available for technical assistance to recipients and potential recipients of grants under subsection (c); .
