Section 40295 of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 ( 34 U.S.C. 12341 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (2), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (3)(B), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: to develop, expand, implement, and improve the quality of sexual assault forensic medical examination or sexual assault nurse examiner programs. ; in subsection (b)— in paragraph (4), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and in paragraph (5)— by inserting after by the lack of access to the following: quality forensic sexual assault examinations by trained health care providers, ; and by striking shelters and and inserting shelters, and ; and in subsection (e)(1), by striking $50,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018 and inserting $100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027 .
