Sec. 1002. Report to Congress on Federal assistance to State insurance regulators regarding mental health parity enforcement

Not later than one year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall submit to Congress a report detailing— the ways in which State governments and State insurance regulators are either empowered or required to enforce the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 (subtitle B of title V of division C of Public Law 110–343 ); their capability to carry out these enforcement powers or requirements; and any technical assistance to State government and State insurance regulators that has been communicated by the Department of Health and Human Services.
