Section 1240H of the Food Security Act of 1985 ( 16 U.S.C. 3839aa–8 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(2)— in subparagraph (C), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in subparagraph (D), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: provide environmental and resource conservation benefits through increased participation by beginning farmers and ranchers and socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers. ; and in subsection (b)(2), by striking 2012 and inserting 2018 .
