Mar. 27, 1978[[H.R. 11518](/us/bill/97/hr/11518)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the first sectionPublic debt limit.Temporary increase.[31 USC 757b note](/us/usc/t31/s757b). of the Act of October 4, 1977, entitled “An Act to increase the temporary debt limit, and for other purposes” (Public Law 95–120), is amended by striking out “March 31, 1978” and inserting in lieu thereof “July 31, 1978”.
