81 Stat. 988 Private Law 90–2 AN ACT For the relief of Mrs. A. E. Housley. May 29, 1967[[H. R. 1646](/us/bill/90/hr/1646)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mrs. A. E. Housley. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mrs. A. E. Housley, of Annapolis, Maryland, the sum of $467.69 in full settlement of all her claims against the United States arising out of the failure of the Post Office Department to pay Mr.
A. E. Housley at the overtime rate for services in excess of eight hours in a day during the period October 15, 1962, through March 27, 1963. No part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.

Stowe.[76 Stat. 948](/us/stat/76/948). That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 3010 of title 38, United States Code, relating to effective dates for awards, the Administrator of Veterans’ Affairs is authorized and directed to pay, out of any funds appropriated for dependency and indemnity compensation, to Agnes C. Stowe, of Pensacola, Florida, a sum equal to the amount which would have been payable to her as dependency and indemnity compensation for the period from June 4, 1959, the date of the death of her husband, Ansell M.
Stowe, who died as the result of a service-connected disability, through April 27, 1962, the effective date of the award of such compensation, had entitlement to such compensation been allowed from the date of death of the said Ansell M. Stowe: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
