70 Stat. 509 Public Law 274 chapter 521 AN ACT To modify the project for the Saint Mary River, Michigan, South Canal, in order to repeal the authorization for the alteration of the International Bridge as part of such project, and to authorize the Secretary of the Army to accomplish such alteration. July 9, 1956[[S. 2210](/us/bill/84/s/2210)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the project for Saint Marys River, Mich., South Canal. [59 Stat. 28](/us/stat/59/28). the Saint Marys River, Michigan, South Canal, as approved by the Act of March 2, 1945 (59 Stat. 10), is modified by repealing the authorization for the alteration as part of such project of the International Bridge owned by the Sault Ste.
Marie Bridge Company. Sec. 2. The Secretary of the Army is authorized to accomplish the Bridge alteration. alteration of the bridge referred to in the first section of this Act under such an agreement as he may arrive at with the owners of such bridge. The costs of any such alteration shall be apportioned between the United States and such bridge owners in accordance with section 6 of the Act entitled “An Act to provide for the alteration of certain bridges over navigable waters of the United States, for the apportionment of the cost of such alterations between the United States and the owners of such bridges, and for other purposes”, approved [54 Stat. 499](/us/stat/54/499).
