Res. 508](/us/bill/83/hjres/508)] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Act of SeptemberMohandas K. Gandhi memorial. 28, 1949 (63 Stat. 699, ch. 587), relating to the erection of a memorial to the memory of Mohandas K. Gandhi is hereby amended by striking out the words “within five years from the date of approval of this resolution” and substituting in lieu thereof the words “by September 28, 1959”.

R. 7554](/us/bill/83/hr/7554)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the first section of the Joint Resolution of June 29, 1938 (52 Stat. 1246), is amended by[5 USC 86a](/us/usc/t5/s86a). inserting after “by Executive order,” the following: “or any day on which such employees are relieved or prevented from working by administrative order issued under such regulations as may be promulgated by the President,”.

Res. 243](/us/bill/83/hjres/243)] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section 7 of the jointFlag of the USA. resolution entitled “Joint resolution to codify and emphasize existing rules and customs pertaining to the display and use of the flag of the United States of America”, approved June 22, 1942, as amended (36[56 Stat. 380](/us/stat/56/380). U. S. C., sec. 172), is amended to read as follows:
" “Sec. 7. The following is designated as the pledge of allegiance toPledge of allegiance. the flag: ‘I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all’. Such pledge should be rendered by standing with the right hand over the heart. However, civilians will always show full respect to the flag when the pledge is given by merely standing at attention, men removing the headdress.
