(3)In the case of four-letter combinations commencing with the letter A, which are used for the geographical portion of the International Code of Signals, their use as call signs must be restricted to cases in which no risk of confusion is likely to arise. 444
(4)The distinguishing signals allotted to ships for visual and aural signalling must, in general, agree with the call signs of ship stations. 445 § 9. Each country reserves the right to establish its own measures for identifying its stations used for national defence.
