(3)Each Conference shall determine the number of the members of the Board and the method of their election with a view to ensuring a balanced selection of the members from the various parts of the world. 306
(4)Members of the Board shall be eligible for reelection. 307
(5)Should a member of the Board relinquish his duties before the end of his normal term of office, he shall be replaced as soon as possible by a new member from the country to which the former member belonged. If this country is unable to provide a replacement member, the Administrative Council shall appoint a new member from a country belonging to the same region. 308 § 5. The Board shall have the assistance of a small specialized secretarial staff, who shall work under the direction of the Chairman in organizing and carrying out the work of the Board. The technical members of this staff shall be selected by the Board; but the staff shall be attached to the General Secretariat of the Union for general administrative purposes.
