(1)In principle, the power of broadcasting stations which employ frequencies below 5 060 kc/s must not exceed (except in the band 3 900 – 4 000 kc/s) a value which permits of maintaining economically an effective national service of good quality within the limits of the country concerned. 244
(2)The use by the broadcasting service of the bands listed below is restricted to the Tropical Zone as defined in 252: 2 300 – 2 498 kc/s (Region 1) 2 300 – 2 495 kc/s (Regions 2 and 3) 3 200 – 3 400 kc/s (All Regions) 4 750 – 4 995 kc/s (All Regions) 5 005 – 5 060 kc/s (All Regions) 245 § 2.
