Chap. LXVIII.— An Act *for the relief of Gideon Sheldon.* July 20, 1840. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of War be, and hereby is, To be placed on pension list.directed to place the name of Gideon Sheldon, of the county of Rutland, state of Vermont, on the pension list of invalid pensioners of the United States; and that said Sheldon be entitled to receive a pension at the rate of eight dollars a month, to commence on the first day of January, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, during his natural life, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
