Chap. II.— An Act *to authorize the allowance of certain charges in the accounts of the American Consul at London.* Jan. 19, 1836. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,*Allowance for clerk hire. &c. to be continued. That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and the same hereby are, authorized and directed in settling the accounts of the American consul at London, to continue the allowance for clerk hire, office rent, stationery, fuel, and other miscellaneous expenses from the first day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-five, and until otherwise provided for by law, in like manner as the same have heretofore usually been allowed, in settling the accounts of the said consulate, and that the same be paid out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
