(/us/pvtl/76/72)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryAndrew J. Crockett and Walter Crockett.Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,394.13 to Andrew J. Crockett and Walter Crockett, in full settlement of their claims for compensation for improvements constructed by them upon the land transferred to the Zuni Indian Reservation, New Mexico, by the act of June 20, 1935 (49 Stat. 393):[49 Stat. 393](/us/stat/49/393).*Provided*, That no payment shall be made until certification by the*Proviso*.Condition.
Secretary of the Interior that the claimants have executed a satisfactory release of any and all claims arising out of the said transfer of lands: *Provided further*, That no part of the amount appropriatedLimitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlaw53 Stat. 1470Penalty for violation.ful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, July 14, 1939. Palmer for compensation for services rendered as United States Commissioner in the district of Minnesota from December 1, 1935, to June 6, 1937, inclusive, notwithstanding the fact that accounts therefor were not submitted by the commissioner within one year after the rendition [47 Stat. 1383](/us/stat/47/1383).[28 U. S. C. § 599a](/us/usc/t28/s599a).of such services in accordance with the provisions of the Act of March 1, 1933 (47 Stat 1383).
