(/us/pvtl/75/546)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Konderish.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Konderish, of Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania, parents of Joan Konderish, four years of age, the sum of $1,000 in full satisfaction of their claim against the United States for the death of said minor, resulting from burns received on Wednesday, June 3, 1936, said burns being caused by a fire left burning by Works Progress Administration project workers on Project Numbered 65–23–2957—community sanitation project—at 5019 Park Street, Nesquehoning, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, the project being adjacent to the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Konderish: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated*Proviso.*Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violatingPenalty for violation. the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.
