(/us/bill/75/pvtl/334)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the UnitedMrs. Charles T. Warner.Claim of, to be considered. States Employees’ Compensation Commission is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider the claim of Mrs. Charles T. Warner, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, widow of Charles T. Warner, who sustained injuries in December 1932 in the performance of his duties as a deputy United States marshal from which he is alleged to have died in May 1935, under the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act[39 Stat. 742](/us/stat/39/742).[5 U. S. C. §§ 751–796](/us/usc/t5/s751–796). to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, as amended, except that the limitations of time in sections 15 to 20 thereof, both inclusive, are hereby waived: *Provided*, That claim hereunder shall be filed*Provisos*.Time for filing claim.No prior benefits. within six months from the approval of this Act: *Provided further*, That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act.

August 25, 1937[[S. 1764](/us/bill/75/s/1764)][[Private, No. 335](/us/bill/75/pvtl/335)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryRuth Gaskins.Payment to. of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,396.55 to Ruth Gaskins, of Monogah, West Virginia, in full settlement of all her claims against the United States for damages resulting from personal injuries received by her on the night of November 27, 1935, when she fell into an open, unguarded, unmarked, and unlighted hole in the sidewalk, such hole having been caused by 1074the failure of Works Progress Administration employees properly *Proviso.*Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.to repair an opening they had made in said sidewalk: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary Penalty for violation.notwithstanding.

Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, August 25, 1937.
