(/us/pl/74/655).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United' States of America in Congress assembled*, Missouri River.Time extended for bridging, at Garrison, N. Dak.Vol. 47, pp. 43, 804; Vol. 48, Vol. 48, p. 946; *Ante, *p. 288. That the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Missouri River, at or near Garrison, North Dakota, authorized to be built by the State of North Dakota, by an Act of Congress approved February 10, 1932, heretofore extended by Acts of Congress approved February 14, 1933, June 12, 1934, and May 24, 1935, are hereby further extended one and three years, respectively, from June 12, 1936.
Sec. 2.Amendment. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, June 5, 1936. June 5, 1936.[[S. 3477](/us/bill/74/s/3477).][[Public, No. 656](/us/pl/74/656).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Alabama judicial districts.Jurisdiction of judge for northern and middle districts. That from and after the date of enactment of this Act, except as hereinafter provided, the jurisdiction of the present district judge for the northern and middle districts of Alabama, and his successors, shall be confined to the middle district of such State. 1477 Sec. 2.
(a)If the trial of any case has been entered upon in the Pending trials in northern district, jurisdiction extended until conclusion.northern district of Alabama before said district judge for the northern and middle districts of Alabama and has not been concluded on or before the date of enactment of this Act, the jurisdiction in such northern district of said judge shall be deemed to be extended as to such trial until it has been concluded.
(b)The said judge shall have power, notwithstanding his absence Powers continued.from such northern district, to decide all matters which have been submitted to him within such district, to decide motions for new trials, settle bills of exceptions, certify or authenticate narratives of testimony, or perform any other act required by law or the rules to be performed in order to prepare any case so tried by him for review in an appellate court; and his action thereon in writing filed with the clerk of the court where the trial or hearing was had shall be as valid as if such action had been taken by him within such district and prior to the date of enactment of this Act. Sec. 3. Nothing in this Act shall be construed to alter or amend Assignment to hold court in another district.any provision of law relating to the designation and assignment of a district judge to hold court in a district other than his own.
