C., p. 100. provisions in section 10, and sections 17 and 20 of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, as amended, are hereby waived in favor of Evelyn Jotter, widow of Walter E.
Jotter, who is alleged to have died as a result of injuries sustained while in the performance of his duties as associate forester, United States Forest Service, between January 10, 1919, and July 6, 1931: *Provided,* That *Proviso.* No prior benefits. no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act. R. 1864](/us/bill/74/hr/1864).][[Private, No. 165](/us/pvt/74/165).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary Henry Dinucci. Refund of bail. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Henry Dinucci, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $500 in full settlement of all claims against the Government of the United States for cash bail deposited with former United States Commissioner Arthur G.
Fisk at San Francisco, California, and misappropriated by said official: *Provided,* *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim. It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be Penalty for violation.deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.
