That in the administration of the pension laws James L. Pate shall hereafter be held and considered to have been honorably discharged from the military service of the United States as a private in Company A, Twelfth Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry, on the 20th day of *Proviso*.No back pay, etc.September, 1862: *Provided*, That no pension, back pay, or bounty shall be held to have accrued prior to the passage of this Act.
