CHAP. 411.— An Act To amend an Act entitled “An Act to create a revenue in the District of Columbia by levying tax upon all doge therein, to make such doge personal property, and for other purposes,” as amended. June 6, 1930.[[H. R. 11403](/us/bill/71/hr/11403).][[Public, No. 315](/us/pl/71/315).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, District of Columbia.Tax on dogs in.Vol. 20, p. 173, amended. That an Act entitled “An Act to create a revenue in the District of Columbia by levying a tax upon all dogs therein, to make such dogs personal property, and for other purposes,” approved June 19, 1878 (20 Stat. 173), as amended, be, and the same is hereby, amended by inserting, following section 9, a new section to read as follows:
" “Sec. 10. Poundmaster given power to make arrest. In order to carry out properly and effectively the duties imposed upon him by Congress the poundmaster is hereby given authority as a special police officer of the Metropolitan police department of the District of Columbia, with authority to make Salary.arrests in the performance of his duty, and he shall receive a salary at the rate of $3,080 per annum.” " Sec. 2. Section 10 is amended to read as follows: " 523 “Sec. 11. That all Acts or parts of Acts now in force in theVol. 20, p. 174, repealed.Inconsistent laws repealed.
District of Columbia inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be, and the same are hereby, repealed.” " Approved, June 6, 1930.
