Schmitt. Monthly payments to, for personal injuries. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to William C. Schmitt an amount at the rate of $117 per month from December 5, 1920, to the date of the passage of this Act, on account of injuries caused by the explosion of shells aboard the Army lighter *Proviso*. Benefits of Employees’ Compensation Fund extended to.Amackassen: *Provided*, That from the date of the passage of this Act the United States Employees’ Compensation Commission be, and it is hereby, authorized and directed to extend to William C.
Schmitt, on account of injuries sustained December 5, 1920, the provisions of an Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes,” approved September 6, 1916, as amended by the Act of February 12, 1927. Approved, March 2, 1929.
