R. 5297](/us/bill/70/hr/5297).][[Private, No. 143](/us/pvtl/70/143).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Christine Brenzinger.Compensation for personal injuries.
That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay, out of any money in the United States Treasury not otherwise appropriated, and in full settlement against the Government, the sum of $150 to Christine Brenzinger, of Louisville, Kentucky, as compensation for injuries sustained on July 8, 1919, when struck by an automobile, at the time driven by a soldier of the United States Army. Sec. 2. Restriction on attorney’s fees. That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys on account of services rendered or advances made in connection with said claim.
Violation a misdemeanor.Any person or persons violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, May 16, 1928.
