Res., No. 44](/us/bill/70/pubres/44).] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That there is hereby appropriated White River, Ark.Appropriation for flood protection on.out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated the sum of $25,000, or so much thereof as may be required, to be expended under the direction of the Chief of Engineers of the United States Army and the Mississippi River Commission to strengthen and hold levees on the White River in Woodruff and Monroe Counties, Arkansas.
Expenditure by Chief of Engineers or Mississippi River Commission. Sec. 2. The Chief of Engineers of the United States Army or the Mississippi River Commission, or both, are hereby authorized to expend said sum, or so much thereof as may be required, to strengthen or hold said levees. Approved, May 16, 1928.
