Archer. Losses caused by escaping prisoners, Me Neil Island, to be settled. That the Comptroller General is hereby authorized and directed to make settlement, upon the approval of the Attorney General, with Finch R. Archer, warden of the United States Penitentiary at McNeil Island, Washington, in an amount not exceeding $1,608.54, covering the total value of money and personal effects stolen September 26, 1922, from the Payment from current appropriation.office of the said penitentiary by escaping prisoners; payment to be made from the appropriation for the maintenance of the institution for the current fiscal year.
