Distinguished flying cross presented to. That the President be, and is hereby, authorized to present the distinguished flying cross to Captain Benjamin Mendez in recognition of his extraordinary achievement in linking the continents of South and North 2343America by an aerial journey, by seaplane, from the northern Atlantic Coast of the United States of America to Giradot, Colombia.
