March 15, 1928.[[S. 2342](/us/bill/70/s/2342).][[Public, No. 172](/us/pl/70/172).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Chippewa Indians, Minn.Per capita payment to, from principal fund.Vol. 25, p. 645. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized to withdraw from the Treasury of the United States so much as may be necessary of the principal fund on deposit to the credit of the Chippewa Indians in the State of Minnesota, arising under section 7 of the Act of January 14, 1889 (Twenty-fifth Statutes at Large, page 642), entitled “An315Act for the relief and civilization of the Chippewa Indians in the State of Minnesota,” and to make therefrom a per capita payment or distribution of $25 to each of the enrolled Chippewa Indians of Minnesota, under such rules and regulations as the said Secretary may prescribe: *Provided*, That before any payment is made hereunder the*Provisos*.Acceptance by Indians.
Chippewa Indians of Minnesota shall, in such manner as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Interior, ratify the provisions of this Act and accept same: *Provided further*, That the money paid to theNot subject to any lien, etc. Indians as authorized herein shall not be subject to any lien or claim of attorneys or other parties.
