That there is authorized to be appropriated, in addition to the sum authorized to be appropriated by a joint resolution entitled “Joint resolution in relation to a monument to commemorate the services and sacrifices of the women of the United States of America, its insular possessions, and the District of Columbia in the World War,” approved June 7, 1924, the sum of $50,000 to be used for the erection and equipment of the memorial building provided for by such joint resolution.
Disbursement not contingent on private subscriptions.Vol. 43, p. 666.Such sum shall be expended under the direction of the commission, consisting of the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Library and the chairman of the House Committee on the Library, created by such joint resolution, and its disbursement shall not be contingent upon any private subscription. Approved, March 8, 1928.
