Lewis.Payment to.States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and lie is hereby, directed to pay to John W. Lewis, register of the land office at The Dalles, Oregon, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundred and twenty-one dollars and ninety-seven cents, being the amount of his maximum compensation in addition to his salary from April seventeenth, eighteen hundred and ninety, to July seventh, eighteen hundred and ninety.
