February 9, 1899. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the InteriorWilliam Russell.Pension. be, and he is hereby, directed to place on the pension roll the name of William Russell, of Captain Samuel Gordon’s Company H, Second Oregon Volunteers, also of Captain Edward Sheffield’s Company A, of said volunteers, for meritorious service, and for wounds received by hostile Indians in Oregon, then a Territory, and allow him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.
