CHAP. 1320.— An Act increasing the pension of Francis Gilman.October 1, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and Blouse of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Francis Gilman.Pension increased. That the pension of Francis Gilman, late a private in the Second Battery Iowa Light Artillery, be, and the same hereby is, increased to thirty dollars per month. Approved, October 1, 1890. RESOLUTIONS. No. 7: authorizing the marshal of the Supreme Court of the United States to loan the portraits of the Chief Justices to the New York State Bar Association for exhibition at the Judiciary Centennial to be holden on the fourth of February, eighteen hundred and ninety.

That the marshal of the Supreme Court of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized Temporarily loaned for Judiciary Centennial.and empowered to loan to the New York State Bar Association, at the city of New York, portraits of the Chief Justices of said court, for exhibition at the Judiciary Centennial to be held in said city on the fourth of February, eighteen hundred and ninety, under such conditions and restrictions as he shall deem necessary for the safe custody and return of said portraits.

Davis, Fourteenth Regiment United States Infantry, be, and he hereby is, permitted to enter the service of the Nicaragua Canal Construction Company. The permission hereby given shall be held to terminate at such date as the Secretary of War may determine: *Provided, however*, That the said Davis shall not receive from the United States any pay or allowances as an Army officer during the periodNot to receive Army pay, etc. of his absence from the military service under the provisions of this resolution.
