Chap. XLV.— An Act *in addition to the act to regulate the laying out and making a road from Cumberland, in the state of Maryland, to the stale of Ohio.*(*a*)(*a*) See act of March 29, 1806, chap. 19, and notes.March 3, 1811.[Obsolete.] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,*Additional appropriation. That in addition to the unexpended balance of the sum heretofore appropriated for laying out and making a road from Cumberland in the state of Maryland, to the state of Ohio, the sum of fifty thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby1806, ch. 19.1815, ch. 43. appropriated, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, and to be expended under the direction of the President of the United States, in making said road between Cumberland in the state of Maryland, and Brownsville in the state of Pennsylvania, commencing at Cumberland; which sum of fifty thousand dollars shall be replaced out of the fund reserved for laying out and making roads to the state of Ohio, by virtue of the seventh section of an act passed on the thirtieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and two, entituled “An act to enable the people of the eastern division of the territory northwest of the river Ohio to form a constitution and state government, and for the admission of such state into the Union, on an equal footing with the original states, and for other purposes.
” Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That the President of the UnitedPresident may permit deviations from courses heretofore run. States be, and he is hereby authorized and empowered to permit such deviations from the courses run and established by the commissioners under the authority of “An act to regulate the laying out and making a road from Cumberland in the state of Maryland, to the state of Ohio,”662 ELEVENTH CONGRESS. Sess. III. Ch. 46. 1811. as in his opinion shall be deemed expedient: *Provided,* that no deviation shall be made from the principal points established on said road between Cumberland and Brownsville.
