Chap. XL.— An Act *in addition to an act intituled “An act in addition to an act entituled An act supplementary to the act providing for a naval peace establishment, and for other purposes.”* March 3, 1807. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President of the Act of April 21, 1806, ch. 35.United States be, and he is hereby authorized, in addition to the present naval peace establishment, to employ a number of able seamen, ordinary seamen and boys, not exceeding five hundred, should the exigency of the public service require the same.
