XLIV.— An Act *to prohibit the Sale of Spirituous Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks in the District of Columbia, in certain Cases.* August 5, 1861.1862, ch. 168.*Post*, p. 571. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That it shall not be lawful forSale of spirituous liquors, &c., in District of Columbia, to soldiers, forbidden. any person in the District of Columbia to sell, give, or administer to any soldier or volunteer in the service of the United States, or any person wearing the uniform of such soldier or volunteer, any spirituous liquor or 292THIRTY-SEVENTH CONGRESS.
