## SEC. 3171 MCDOWELL COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA The McDowell County nonstructural component of the project for flood control, Levisa and Tug Fork of the Big Sandy and Cumberland Rivers, West Virginia, Virginia, and Kentucky, authorized by section 202(a) of the Energy and Water Development Appropriation Act, 1981 (94 Stat. 1339), is modified to direct the Secretary to take measures to provide protection, throughout McDowell County, West Virginia, from the reoccurrence of the greater of— ####
(1)the April 1977 flood; ####
(2)the July 2001 flood; ####
(3)the May 2002 flood; or ####
(4)the 100-year frequency event.
