## SEC. 6110 NOTIFICATION OF PASSPORT EXPIRATION **[**[22 U.S.C. 217a note](/us/usc/t22/s217a)**]** The Secretary shall take such steps as may be necessary to ensure that each individual holding a valid United States passport is notified of the upcoming expiration of such passport not later than one year before the date of such expiration.
