## SEC. 1308 OVERSIGHT OF TAIWAN ENHANCED RESILIENCE ACT ###
(a)Oversight of Taiwan Security Programs Section 5502 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117-263; 136 Stat. 2395; 22 U.S.C. 3351) is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (e)(2)(A), by inserting “not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 and” before “not less than annually”; and ####
(2)in subsection (f)(2)— #####
(A)in subparagraph (L), by striking “and” at the end; #####
(B)in subparagraph (M), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and #####
(C)by adding at the end the following: > > ##### “(N) > > a description of actions taken to establish or expand a comprehensive training program with Taiwan pursuant to section 5504; > > > ##### “(O) > > a description of actions taken to establish a joint consultative mechanism with appropriate officials of Taiwan, and the multi-year plan to provide for the acquisition of appropriate defensive capabilities by Taiwan, pursuant to section 5506 ; and > > > ##### “(P) > > the list compiled pursuant to section 5507(a), and a description of actions taken pursuant to sections 5507(b) and 5507(c).” > . ###
(b)Oversight of Regional Contingency Stockpile for Taiwan Section 5503 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117-263; 136 Stat. 2395) is amended by adding at the end the following: > > ### “(e) Appropriate Committees of Congress Defined > > In subsection (d), the term ‘appropriate committees of Congress’ means— > > > #### “(1) > > the congressional defense committees; and > > > #### “(2) > > the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate.” > .
