## SEC. 5010 STRATEGIC PETROLEUM RESERVE DRAWDOWN ###
(a)Drawdown and Sale **[**[42 U.S.C. 6241 note](/us/usc/t42/s6241)**]** ####
(1)In general Notwithstanding section 161 of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. 6241), except as provided in subsections
(b)and (c), the Secretary of Energy shall drawdown and sell from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve— #####
(A)10,000,000 barrels of crude oil during fiscal year 2017; #####
(B)9,000,000 barrels of crude oil during fiscal year 2018; and #####
(C)6,000,000 barrels of crude oil during fiscal year 2019. ####
(2)Deposit of amounts received from sale Amounts received from a sale under paragraph
(1)shall be deposited in the general fund of the Treasury during the fiscal year in which the sale occurs. ###
(b)Emergency Protection **[**[42 U.S.C. 6241 note](/us/usc/t42/s6241)**]** The Secretary shall not draw down and sell crude oil under this section in quantities that would limit the authority to sell petroleum products under section 161(h) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. 6241(h)) in the full quantity authorized by that subsection. ###
(c)Strategic Petroleum Drawdown Limitations Subparagraphs
(C)and
(D)of section 161(h)(2) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. 6241(h)(2)(C) and (D)) are both amended by striking “500,000,000” and inserting “450,000,000”.
