## SEC. 7301 RELEVANCE AND MERIT OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH, EXTENSION, AND EDUCATION FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT Section 103(a)(2) of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 (7 U.S.C. 7613(a)(2)) is amended— ####

(1)in the heading by striking “Merit review of extension” and inserting “Relevance and merit review of research, extension,”; ####

(2)in subparagraph (A)— #####

(A)by inserting “relevance and” before “merit”; and #####

(B)by striking “extension or education” and inserting “research, extension, or education”; and ####

(3)in subparagraph (B), by inserting “on a continuous basis” after “procedures”.
