## SEC. 2304 DIPLOMATIC SECURITY Section 1 of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (22 U.S.C. 2651a), as amended by this division, is further amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: > > ### “(h) Qualifications of Officer Having Primary Responsibility for Diplomatic Security > > The officer of the Department of State with primary responsibility for assisting the Secretary of State with respect to diplomatic security, or that officer's principal deputy, shall have substantial professional qualifications in the fields of
(1)management, and
(2)Federal law enforcement, intelligence, or security.” > .
