## SEC. 1115 STANDARDS FOR VERIFICATION ###
(a)Verification of Compliance Section 306(a) of the Arms Control and Disarmament Act (22 U.S.C. 2577(a)) is amended in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)by striking “adequately”. ###
(b)Assessments Upon Request Section 306 of the Arms Control and Disarmament Act (22 U.S.C. 2577) is amended— ####
(1)by redesignating subsections (b), (c), and
(d)as subsections (c), (d), and (e), respectively; and ####
(2)by inserting after subsection
(a)the following: > > ### “(b) Assessments Upon Request > > Upon the request of the chairman or ranking minority member of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate or the Committee on International Relations of the House of Representatives, in case of an arms control, nonproliferation, or disarmament proposal presented to a foreign country by the United States or presented to the United States by a foreign country, the Secretary of State shall submit a report to the Committee on the degree to which elements of the proposal are capable of being verified.” > .
