## SEC. 530 CONVERSION OF HIGH-DEPLOYMENT ALLOWANCE FROM MANDATORY TO AUTHORIZED ###
(a)Conversion Section 436(a) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking “shall pay” and inserting “may pay”. ###
(b)Effective Date **[**[37 U.S.C. 436 note](/us/usc/t37/s436)**]** The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the first day of the first month beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
