## SEC. 5111 ADDITIONAL SBIR AND STTR AWARDS Section 9 of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 638), as amended by this title, is further amended by adding at the end the following: > > ###### “(ff) Additional SBIR and STTR Awards > > > #### “(1) Express authority for awarding a sequential phase ii award > > A small business concern that receives a Phase II SBIR award or a Phase II STTR award for a project remains eligible to receive 1 additional Phase II SBIR award or Phase II STTR award for continued work on that project. > > > #### “(2) Preventing duplicative awards > > The head of a Federal agency shall verify that any activity to be performed with respect to a project with a Phase I or Phase II SBIR or STTR award has not been funded under the SBIR program or STTR program of another Federal agency.” > . ## Subtitle B Outreach and Commercialization Initiatives
